Below is our step-by-step guide process for navigating medical marijuana use in Florida.
Compassionate Care of Florida

Easy Steps for new patients

Step 1: Contact Compassionate Care of Florida so our staff may review your eligibility for Medical Cannabis and schedule a new patient appointment.

Step 2: Request a copy of your medical records from your primary care physician, or other physicians involved in care relevant to the visit. Please have them mailed or faxed to our office prior to your visit. You may also bring them to your appointment. Your medical records are required for a medical cannabis recommendation.

Step 3: Completion of the Qualification Questionnaire is required. It may be competed on our website prior to your appointment, in order to save time during your visit.

Step 4: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. The State of Florida requires residency verification with a valid Florida drivers license or other valid state issued photo ID.

Step 5: You will be evaluated by a qualified medical cannabis physician, who will review your condition(s) and discuss treatment options.

Step 6: If qualified, your information and treatment plan will be uploaded into the State of Florida Registry. After review of your information, the state will e-mail you directly to arrange your medical cannabis card so you may visit an authorized dispensary.
